molly rlly has been hurt multiple times by every person in her life EVEN AND /ESPECIALLY/ angel and arackniss
like esp in V’s case with their Angel, Molly and Angel have had PLENTY of hard and bad fights and he has been ESPECIALLY toxic to her when he was a teenager and going Through Things, and still nowadays he hurts her and sometimes on purpose if only to ‘protect’ her.
so like honestly Molly always goes into every relationship no matter what it is with that nagging fear and paranoia that one day they’re gonna end up hurting her or ripping out her heart at some point but she’s just so long as im happy in the moment well. <3 hopefully it’ll make it all worth it in the end!
Thinking about that Molly and Salem childhood friendship again. Considering I really don’t talk about it a lot even though I should - because I never bring up Salem when talking abot Molly’s childhood friends only if because it’s an awkward situation.
Molly and Salem’s family weren’t ALWAYS on bad terms with each other, I like to imagine, but things got sour really quick not too long after Molly was a few years old. Thus, Salem and Molly were at least on some decent terms until their families began to get … On each other’s toes.
Even as tensions spiked Molly and Salem still spent time together here and there, seeing each other at the park and playing. Though they weren’t allowed to spend time with each other at the other’s home, they still saw each other outside and managed to play.
Especially as Clementine really didn’t see the fuss in letting the children still play and get along. She didn’t believe the sins of the father falling upon the children - there was no harm in it at this age, she believed.
Though of course when they got old, and especially after Clementine passed away, they saw each other … Less.
It became more of just passing by. Meeting up in secret during their teens and then all together just… Blipping off the radar with each other.
Sometimes Molly would swear she saw Salem around the corner. Or across the street from the diner looking in. Sometimes Salem thought she saw Molly parked outside across the street from her house. Sometimes she thought she saw her roller skating down the sidewalk on a busy afternoon.
